Bitten fingers are very noticable and may cost you your next job!

Your finger nails have a couple of big jobs to do. They protect your fingertips and make it easier for you to pick up tiny things,such as loos threads.They are also useful when you have a need to scratch!

However when you bite your nails,your nails won't be there to do those and other jobs for you.By biting them,you are breaking the skin and maybe bringing germs into the openings in your skin.Thuis can lead to serious infection and illness.Some people bite their nails and cuticles so far,they bleed! When germs then invade that leads to the infection,such as osteomilitis................nasty!

Speaking of germs, there are germs under your fingernails already, so when you bite them,the germs can go into the mouth.Think about all the icky stuff you touch all day long,then put it in your mouth via your nails.

That's why washing your hands frequently is so important too, especially after using the toilet, and you would be ammazed by how many people don't!!
