Why stop smoking?

After 20 minutes your blood pressure drops to a level close to that before the last cigarette.The temperature in your hands and feet returns to normal.

After 8 hours the carbon monoxide level in your blood drops to normal.

After 24 hours your chance of a heart attack decreases.

Within 3 months your circulation improves and your lung function increases by upto 30 per cent.

After 1 year the excess risk of coronary heart disease is half that of someone who smokes.

After 5 years stroke risk is reduced to that of someone who has never smoked.

The above are extracts from the US Surgeon General's report on the benefits of quitting for life.

If you smoke 20 cigarettes a day in England you will have saved around £2184 in year one.

What happens at a Khameleon stop smoking session?

Well many people say to me You are a hypnotist so you can make me stop smoking.Nice idea, not true.

Contrary to popular belief no hypnotist can make someone do something they do not WANT to do. If you WANT to stop smoking then I can help you,using hypnosis,NLP and sometimes aversion therapy.

At my clinics in England in Spain I offer stop smoking in one session.The session lasts between one and three hours.Sometimes I split the sessions, one session of two hours and one of an hour.

Before any interventions I take a detailed personal history so I completely understand for what reason you are a smoker AND so you can convince me you WANT to stop. Because if you don't WANT to stop it won't work!

The main effect of the treatment is to minimise and in some cases completely remove the craving for a cigarette.This,as anyone who has tried to give up alone willappreciate (ME!) is the main problem associated with giving up.Another effect is to minimise and completely remove the need to substitute something for nicotine.

Finally the treatment allows you to relax completely,which in turn means it becomes easy to manage yourself for the first few days after giving up.

When you make an appointment at the clinic then that appointment will represent the day and time when you will become a non-smoker.It is vital you prepare yourself for this in this way.Your appointment should free from the cravings which have caused you to fail in the past and will help to make you determined never to smoke again.It is therefore nescessary to ensure this does not happen by accident!

So before seeing me for the treatment make sure you have no cigarettes in the car,at work home or anywhere else.

You maybe asked not to smoke for 24 hours prior to our meeting.

For those who may ask the question,my intention is for you quit smoking and avoid gaining weight.

You will be given a full support package after the session, including a hypnosis CD to support you for two weeks, a number of notes to guide you as you continue as a non smoker and access to me free of charge for two weeks after treatment. All this is included in my fee structure.
